ELINOR AND DAVID SKLAR

Together for more than sixty years, Elinor and Dave Sklar built a life defined by love, family, friendship, and shared adventures. While we first said goodbye to Elinor in June 2020 and later to Dave in August 2025, we remember them as they lived—side by side, devoted to one another and to the people they loved.

They are deeply missed by their children, grandchildren, extended family, and the many friends whose lives were enriched by their warmth, kindness, and generosity.

Family was at the center of everything they did. Elinor, affectionately known as “Granny,” had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Dave was known for his gentle nature, quiet strength, and sense of humour that could always bring a smile. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

Whether enjoying summers at Big Whiteshell Lake, travelling, or simply spending time with family and friends, their greatest happiness came from being together and sharing life with those they loved.

Their legacy lives on in the values they passed down—kindness, respect, gratitude, and consideration for others. They taught us, by example, to see the good in people, to approach life with generosity, and to leave things better than we found them.

Today, we take comfort in knowing they are together once again. Their love continues to guide us through the memories we treasure, the stories we share, and the lives they helped shape. You are missed every day and remembered always.

With love always,

Mom and Dad, Granny and Grandpa
